Saying Goodbye to a Pet

Today, we had to say goodbye to Mr. Hogan, our beloved family cat of almost 20 years; my parents got him as a kitten in 2004, when I was still living at home and, for all intents and purposes, he was my brother.

If you ever had the pleasure (or maybe “displeasure” is the right word for it) of meeting Mr. Hogan, you'd know he wasn't always the most personable of creatures; he really only liked my dad and sometimes, my mom, but he still had one of the most distinct personalities I've ever seen in a cat.
